Philadelphia, PA -- (Sports Network) - Rob Garrison scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Niagara Purple Eagles to a 71-48 win over the Monmouth Hawks in the Philly Hoop Group Classic at The Palestra.

Niagara (4-1) reserves Demetrius Williamson and Kashief Edwards scored 14 and 11 points, respectively, as the Eagles won their third straight.

The Hawks (0-6) didn't have anybody score in double figures, as they labored through an all-around poor shooting performance.

The Purple Eagles trailed, 17-14 midway through the first half, but then went on a decisive 21-1 run to seize control.

The Hawks weren't able to cut the deficit in the second stanza, as they shot just 24.3 percent from the field, including an 0-for-10 effort from beyond the arc.

Niagara shot 50 percent for the game.
