NCAA Game Summary - Florida International At Tulsa

Tulsa, OK -- (Sports Network) - Ben Uzoh scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to an 81-49 win over the Florida International Golden Panthers in non-league play at the Reynolds Center. Justin Hurtt also added 16 points for Tulsa (2-0), while Jerome Jordan chipped in with 12 points, seven rebounds and six blocked shots. FIU (0-3) was paced by Marvin Roberts who totaled 18 points and nine rebounds in a losing effort, although he shot just 4-of-16 from the field and missed all five of his three-point tries. Tulsa took control of the contest in the first half, shooting 48.1 percent from the floor, to register a 36-20 lead at the break. The Golden Hurricane, which led by as many as 37 points, put the game away in the second stanza by knocking down 21-of-26 free throws, en route to the 32- point victory. Tulsa dominated FIU in the post, outscoring the Golden Panthers 32-20 in the paint and beating the visitors on the glass, 54-31.
