NCAA Game Summary - Fairfield Vs. Siena

(Sports Network) - Clarence Jackson scored 16 points off the bench to lead the top-seeded Siena Saints to an 80-65 victory over the fifth-seeded Fairfield Stags in Semifinal Round play of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament at the Times Union Center.

Edwin Ubiles added 15 points for Siena (25-7), while Alex Franklin contributed 13 points. Ronald Moore registered a double-double consisting of 12 points and 14 assists, while Ryan Rossiter also posted 12 points, to go along with eight boards.

The Saints were unstoppable in the first 20 minutes if play, shooting a stellar 62.5 percent from the floor, while going into the break with a commanding, 48-24 advantage.

Siena cooled off in the second frame, shooting just 43.3 percent from the floor, but despite the mediocre effort the team was able to hold on for a 15- point victory.

The Saints dominated the play in the paint, outscoring Fairfield down low by a 42-16 margin.

The Saints will now take part in their third consecutive MAAC Tournament title game and will square off against either Rider or Niagara on Monday.
