NCAA Game Summary - Maryland-Eastern Shore Vs. Eastern Michigan

Springfield, MO -- (Sports Network) - Justin Dobbins scored 19 points and Brandon Bowdry added 14 points and eight rebounds as the Eastern Michigan Eagles bested the Maryland-Eastern Shore Fighting Hawks, 75-61, in the second phase of the Hispanic College Fund Classic. Jay Higgins added 11 points for the Eagles (2-1). Mark Robertson and Kevin White paced Maryland-Eastern Shore (0-4) with eight points apiece. Sean Berry added seven points and five rebounds. Eastern Michigan led just 34-28 at halftime, but took control of the game by going on a 15-5 run at the start of the second half to stretch its lead to 49-33 with 12:25 left in regulation. The Eagles shot 50 percent from the floor for the evening (28-of-56). They turned the ball over just 11 times. The Fighting Hawks shot just 31.0 percent from the floor (18-of-58), including just 3-of-19 from three-point range.
