District of Columbia: Cash For Appliances Rebate Program

The District of Columbia’s Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program, commonly called Cash for Appliances, is scheduled to begin in late July and last until the funds run out.
The funds, which will help residents replace older appliances with new Energy Star-qualified appliances, will be distributed through a mail-in rebate program. The amount of the rebate will depend on the appliances’ energy efficiency levels, and all residents must provide proof that their old appliances were hauled away to receive the rebate.
