How To Set Up Your WR-100 Weather Receiver

First plug the radio in to a power outlet and turn it on ( the switch is on the right side). The radio uses three AAs as a backup power source.

At any time you can press MENU to back out of the menu.

Menu wraps around TIME, ALARM, CHANNEL, SAME SET, ALT TYPE, ALT TEST and LIGHT.

SET TIME

(If you want to skip this menu press UP arrow to skip to next menu)

Press MENU--- TIME is displayed.
Press SELECT ---Hours will flash.
Press UP/DOWN arrows to set the hours
Press RIGHT arrow--- 10s of minutes flash
Press UP/DOWN arrows to set the 10s of minutes.
Press RIGHT arrow--- Single minutes flash
Press UP/DOWN arrows to set the minutes.
Press SELECT--- Time is now set

SET ALARM

(If you want to skip this menu press UP arrow to skip to next menu)

This sets the alarm clock. You can skip this menu.

SET CHANNELS

(If you want to skip this menu press UP arrow to skip to next menu)

Press UP arrow--- CHANNEL is displayed.
Press SELECT---Radio comes on so you can hear the broadcasts.
Press the UP arrow to select a channel in your area.
Press SELECT to set the station.

SAME SET (OR TO SET FREQUENCY FOR YOUR COUNTY)

Press UP arrow--- SAME SET is displayed.
Press SELECT---ANY is displayed.
Press UP arrow to select SINGLE, MULTIPLE or ANY. SINGLE is for 1 county only, MULTIPLE is more that 1 county and ANY is for all counties.
Press UP arrow to select SINGLE for now.
Press SELECT--- SAME 01 is displayed.
Press SELECT --- 00 00 00 is displayed. First 0 is flashing.
Press UP arrow to select first digit. See this link for county codes.
Press RIGHT arrow to move to next digit.
Press UP arrow to select next digit.
Repeat for all 6 digits.
Press SELECT when all 6 digits are entered. SAME SET is displayed. If you had selected MULTIPLE the display would say SAME 01. You would press the UP arrow to set display to SAME 02 to set the next county code. Repeat for next county.

ALERT TYPE

(If you want to skip this menu press UP arrow to skip to next menu)

Press UP arrow--- ALT TYPE is displayed. (This is the alert type).
Press SELECT--- TONE is displayed.
Press UP arrow to select TONE, DISPLAY or VOICE. TONE sounds alarm tone, DISPLAY is display only -- there is no tone, VOICE is radio announcement only.
Press SELECT to set alert type.

ALERT TEST

(If you want to skip this menu press UP arrow to skip to next menu)

Press UP arrow--- ALT TEST is displayed. (This is to test the alarm tone).
Press SELECT --- The alarm sounds. Press VOLUME UP/DOWN to stop alarm.

LIGHT

(If you want to skip this menu press UP arrow to skip to next menu)

Press UP arrow--- LIGHT is displayed. (Leave this menu alone, it's OK where it is).

Press Menu--- You are done programming the radio.
