Starlight Summer Outdoor Movie - Karate Kid

What: Come explore the martial arts with the viewing of Karate Kid. The PG movie made in 2010 features Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. Starting at 6 p.m., check out the festivities with music, martial arts performances, street fair, face painting, bounce house and more. Movie starts at dusk.

Where: Festival Park, 2nd and Wilcox Streets, Castle Rock, Colo.

Movies in the Park – Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

What: If traveling down to Castle Rock is a little too far of a drive for you, then take the family downtown for Movies in the Park. Here you will watch Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory on a 40-foot wide screen. Make sure you bring your lawn chair and blankets with you to enhance the viewing experience.

Where: Skyline Park, 17th and Arapahoe Street, Denver

Colorado Renaissance Festival

What: It’s Children’s Weekend with special activities. Age 12 and under free with paying adult.

Where: Renaissance Festival Grounds, Larkspur


Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Admission: Adults: $19.95, Children 12 and under are free with paying adult.

VegFest Colorado

What: VegFest Colorado is a health and environmental fair supporting a plant-based diet and lifestyle. This event will feature expert chefs demonstrating healthful vegan dishes and renowned speakers who will speak on health, diet and environmental issues. Stick around for food sampling, cooking demonstrations, standup comedy and music.

Where: Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 W. 6th Avenue, Golden, Colo.


Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Sunday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Admission: $5 for adults, free for 18 and under

Cherry Creek Arts Festival

What: The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts, and enjoys an attendance of 350,000 visitors over the 3-day event.

Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids presents - Footloose

What: Performed by teen actors, check out the contemporary rock musical that was nominated for four Tony awards. Follow the story of an upbeat Chicago teen that moves to a small town where the local minister has banned dancing and rock music. What follows, is a story of love, friendship, and the pursuit of freedom.
