Earth Day Olympics

What: Compete in a series of Earth Day related games and events.

3rd Annual Dia del Niño (Children's Day)

What: There will be live music and dance performances by talented and lively traditional Mexican folklore, Fiesta Colorado Dance Company, Sabor Latino, Grupo Tlaloc and Los Chinelos, and a taste of Mexican food to complement the celebration, hands-on craft activities for the children, a special appearance by Dinger, and a chance to win tickets to the Colorado Rockies games.

Where: Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, 1750 13th Street, Boulder, Colo.

When: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The B.I.G. Day and Earth Day 2013

What: One of the best ways to connect with the community is to give back. Celebrate the Earth Day weekend by volunteering to help clean the trails we use and love. All you need is work gloves and an appetite as a free lunch as lunch will be following at the South Metro Chamber.

Where: The Big Dry Creek Corridor

Disney On Ice presents “Treasure Trove”

What: See the show that commemorates the legacy of Disney animated films with a new medley of Disney tales spanning the years from the first film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, to the 50th film, Tangled.

Where: World Arena, 3185 Venetucci Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colo.

When: 

Saturday: 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 7 p.m.

Denver Nuggets Downtown Playoff Hoops Fest

What: The Denver Nuggets will host several basketball-related activities over several days now starting on Saturday, April 20th. Activities will include a 3-point shootout, skills challenge, an attempt at the world’s largest game of knockout, a Denver Celebrity Game, a health and fitness day, and open court time where members of the community are invited to come down to the park and sign up to play on the court.

Where: Skyline Park, located at the intersection of Arapahoe and the 16th Street Mall in Downtown Denver

Saturday: 9 a.m.–11 a.m. – Open Court
11 a.m.-2 p.m. – NBA Clinic: Private clinic for 40 youth basketball players
3 p.m.–6 p.m. – Gold Crown Foundation: Court time provided to Gold Crown Foundation.

Sunday: 9 a.m.–11 a.m. – Open Court
11 a.m.-2 p.m. – NBA Clinic
3 p.m.–6 p.m. – Gold Crown Foundation court time
