Tyler Lopez

7NEWS Reporter

A valued member of the the 7NEWS staff, Tyler Lopez signed on in December 2004.

Active, intricate liveshots are a specialty of this 17-year Colorado broadcasting veteran.

Tyler started his career at 850 KOA radio in 1993 working on Colorado's Morning News.

From there it was down to Southern Colorado where he transitioned into television as the Pueblo Bureau Chief for 7NEWS' sister ABC station KRDO-TV.

A few months later he moved to Colorado Springs to serve as the first morning reporter for KOAA-TV.

Tyler hails from Orange County, Calif., and graduated from Long Beach State University in Long Beach, CA in 1992.

He enjoys basketball.

Lopez is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and lives in Aurora with his young family.
