Russell Haythorn joined 7NEWS as a general assignments reporter in November 2005. Since joining the team here, he has covered a number of important stories, including the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Russell is a Colorado native and a 1998 graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Russell has worked as a reporter for KGWN NewsChannel 5 in Cheyenne, Wyo., KCBD NewsChannel 11 in Lubbock, Texas and WFMY News 2 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
