DUTIES:

• Will research, field producing, write, video tape, edit content and participate in editorial decision-making for the nationally recognized investigative team at KMGH-TV.
• This position will also help in monitoring potential story ideas developed from the Call 7 For Help call center and Investigative tip line.
• Will be responsible for assisting in sweeps planning and developing story plans for 10PM newscasts.
• This position may also be called upon to produce other special projects and newscasts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be computer literate i.e. iNews or like newsroom system.
• Must have extensive background in computer assisted reporting and experience in breaking stories that change laws and public policy.
• Individual must have 2-3 years experience as News Producer, News Reporter or Special Projects/Investigative Producer.
• Former reporting experience is a plus.
