BAYFIELD, Colo. -- A group of students from Bayfield High School in southwestern Colorado spent part of this week in New Orleans at the International Bullying Prevention Association Conference.

The students gave a 90-minute presentation on how to set up kindness clubs at schools.

The Bayfield students are part of the Friends of Rachel (FOR) club at Bayfield High.

FOR clubs are part of Rachel’s Challenge, the program inspired by the writings of Rachel Scott, who lost her life at Columbine High School in 1999. Rachel wanted to start a chain reaction of kindness, and FOR clubs do exactly that in schools.

To show how easy it is, the Bayfield students left sticky notes with positive messages on mirrors and doors in the conference hotel and other areas they visited while in New Orleans.

Denver7 is a proud partner of Rachel's Challenge.
