Steve Saunders

7NEWS Weekend Morning Anchor, Weekday Reporter

Colorado native Steve Saunders joined the 7NEWS team in October 1998. Steve brings nearly 15 years of experience covering Colorado news to the 7NEWS reporting and anchoring team.

Prior to joining 7NEWS Steve was a regional correspondent for ABC NewsOne, covering the Oklahoma City bombing trials and the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation for stations across the country.

Steve has reported from many areas of the world, bringing the news back to Coloradans. At the end of the Persian Gulf crisis, Steve was the only Denver reporter to report from Kuwait.

Steve is a graduate of Colorado State University, where he earned his degree in journalism. Steve has two sons. In his free time, Steve enjoys golfing, running and spending time with his family. He is committed to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer, a disease that took his wife's life in January 2003.
