Steve Gottsegen
Weekend Sports Anchor
Colorado native Steve Gottsegen joined the 7NEWS team in July 1998 as weekend sports anchor.Steve got his start in the Colorado sports world as a sports producer and editor at KUSA-TV, followed by a stint as a writer for Prime Sports Network. After gaining experience in other top sports markets, Steve returned to Colorado, where he developed his love for sports.As an added bonus, when Steve joined Denver's 7 he worked side-by-side with one of his colleagues from his first job: Mike Nolan. Whether behind the scenes or on-camera, Steve is known for his sports knowledge and his true love of athletics.
Steve grew up in Denver and attended Thomas Jefferson High School and Colorado State University, where he showed his own athletic skills on the pitcher's mound. Steve enjoys golfing, skiing, working out and hanging out with his nephews (Braden, Carter, Spencer and Davis).
