Christin Ayers joined 7NEWS as a reporter in December 2008.

She is a Northern California native and earned her bachelor's degree at Sarah Lawrence College in New York and her master's degree in journalism from U.C. Berkeley. She also studied literature and media at Oxford University in England, where she worked on the Oxford Student newspaper.

Before joining KMGH, Christin was a reporter at Fox 31 in Denver. She worked as an anchor, reporter and executive producer at KECI-13 in Missoula, Montana where she received a number of awards and honors, including two regional Edward R. Murrows and several Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalist awards.

In 2007 she was named Broadcaster of the Year by the Montana Broadcaster's Association. Christin said her most memorable interview was with Barack Obama before Montana's 2008 presidential primary.

Outside of work, Christin loves to travel, hang out with her boyfriend Troy and their Jack Russell terrier Oliver and she tries to get back to the Bay Area as much as possible to visit her mom, sisters and little brother Dennis.
