Kami Carmann joined Denver's 7 in September 2008 as the weekend sports anchor and sports reporter.

Kami returned home to Denver from a job with NewsChannel5 in Nashville, Tenn., where she was a sports reporter and covered the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, University of Tennesee and Vanderbilt University, among others.

After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001, Carmann worked the XIX Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah, before landing her first do-it-all job at KHGI in Kearney, Neb., as a weekend news anchor, reporter, sports reporter, photographer and editor. She then worked for WB22 in Raleigh, N.C., as a news and sports reporter before moving on to Nashville.

A Littleton native, Carmann attended Arapahoe High School and then CU-Boulder, where she was a four-time letterwinner and two-time captain of the women's basketball team. Her senior season saw the Buffaloes return to national prominence with a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Kami and her husband, Curtis, currently reside near Boulder with their fur-kids, dogs Sherman, Day-Z and Rocky, and cat Rosi.

When she's not working, Kami enjoys hiking, skiing, basketball and hanging out with her family.
