And The Nielsen Honors Go To...
ABC dominated the ratings again last week, thanks to the Oscars telecast and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire." The network's numbers easily crossed into the double digits for the week, something that is becoming increasingly rare at a time of increasing competition from cable networks, home video and the Internet.
ABC was also number one among 18-49 year-old viewers, advertisers' most sought-after demographic group.
Overall, the network averaged an 11.8 rating and a 20 share. NBC was second with a 7.9/13. CBS was close behind with a 7.8/13, followed by Fox with a dismal 3.8/10 (despite a strong showing for Titus in its second week).
