His family was told that he would never walk or talk, but he proved the experts wrong.Rory Hanson, 28, is a caring volunteer at The Gathering Place in Denver. At just three months old, Hanson was dropped on his head on his first day of day care. The accident triggered cerebral palsy."He's never seen that as a challenge for him. He's living the life he's absolutely meant to live," said Jami Duffy, a family friend.
Hanson has dedicated his life to helping others. He volunteers his time just about every day, spending each day at a different agency."It's fun, it's just wonderful. I've been volunteering all my life," said Hanson. Not only does he help others, he inspires the people around him."I just think that if we all had a little bit of that, the world really would look different. He's just amazing," said Duffy. To learn more about The Gathering Place, visit www.the-gatheringplace.org.
