When Denver7 photojournalist Major King and his wife decided to go for a weekend getaway into the mountains of Colorado, they expected to see the changing colors of fall — bright yellows, warm oranges and maybe some reds.
They saw all of those -- with some white thrown in.
Their weekend leaf peeping trip received a dose of snow before the excursion even began.
