Arapahoe County Fair
What: It’s county fair time and this one is a bargain of a deal. Daily admission includes the rodeo, heritage activities, 4-H exhibits and open class contests, a petting farm, tractor pulls, concerts, plus unlimited carnival rides. And in case you didn’t get your fill on the 4th of July, there will be fireworks on both Friday and Saturday night. It’s everything you could want from a county fair, and more.
Where: Arapahoe County Fairgrounds, 25690 E. Quincy Avenue, Aurora, Colo.
When: Thursday: 4 p.m.-9 p.m.; and Friday - Sunday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

What: Cowboys and cowgirls from across the range will want to head to Golden this weekend, where the Wild West will come alive at this marquee community event. Plus Saturday’s parade and Cody’s Wild West extravaganza will be a spectacle the whole family will want to experience.

What: As the largest pan-Asian festival in the country, this family-friendly event has been a Denver tradition for 16 years. Watching the ancient spectacle of Dragon Boat Racing across Sloan’s Lake is must-do each summer. Rocky Mountain Train Show
What: All aboard! Conductors of all ages will marvel at over 80 tables of model trains, plus a chance to peek inside the cab of the world’s largest steam locomotive, The Union Pacific 4005. Admission includes full access to the Forney Museum, which houses a paradise of trains, autos, bicycles and motorcycles sure to excite any transportation buff.
